Poster snitchers?

It would seem so. The 'inspirations' seem like such obvious candidates

2009's smash hit The Hangover used the 'shady' baby for one of its promotional character posters. It became an instant hit with fans the world over.

The inspiration

David Dhawan's Rascals just outed its first look poster which features Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn's faces pasted on bodies of tattooed babies. The look of the babies rings too close for comfort.

In defence
Publicity designer Rahul Nanda says, "We made this poster a month back and it is part of a campaign. It's a 100 per cent original to my knowledge."

The inspiration

Anurag Kashyap's cult favourite Dev D has psychedelic blotter art posters as part of its promotions.

The inspiration

Bejoy Nambiar's directorial debut film Shaitan shares more in common with Dev D than the poster. Both are Anurag Kashyap productions and star Kalki Koechlin.

In defence
Bejoy says, "Yes some people have told me that Shaitan's poster is like Dev D. It was the marketing team's input. The mood suited the film. We didn't want a regular poster. The craziness of the film had to translate to the poster."u00a0
