Hours before she took off for NY, the actress had an eye infection

Hours before Priyanka Chopra flew to New York in the early hours of Saturday for the shoot of Anjaana Anjaani, she had to battle with a sudden eye infection.

On Friday evening, while at a photo shoot, the actress realised that her eyes were irritating her and turning red. The harsh camera lights only worsened her condition.

Two visits
When it began disturbing her work, she contacted eye surgeon Dr Himanshu Mehta in panic. He prescribed some drops over the phone for temporary relief. As a result, she somehow managed to complete her assignment.

But immediately after the photoshoot, PC visited Dr Mehta's clinic at Juhu Scheme at 7.30 pm.u00a0 The eye surgeon confirms, "Yes, Priyanka did visit my clinic on Friday. She was suffering from an infection which needed immediate attention as she was travelling later in the night."

After a complete eye check-up, the doctor prescribed her medicines that bought instant relief to the actress. Due to which the actress was able to be at the airport post midnight for her flight.

PC has been Dr Mehta's patient and always visits him for eye-related problems. In fact Priyanka's parents, Dr Ashok and Madhu, are friends of the eye surgeon.
