Given Mani Ratnam's recent health scare, the production team of Raavan has ensured that a doctor is on sets in Ooty throughout the shooting schedule.

Also, special food is being cooked for the director to aid a speedy recovery.

A source from the unit reveals, "Mani's third heart attack has made everyone cautious. Everyone is ensuring that the work is being completed on time so Mani Sir doesn't lose his temper or patience. The assistant directors are ensuring everything is going as scheduled.

The director is served with low-fat food, although he is a complete foodie. It is a 15-day schedule in Ooty and will be shot with South actor Vikram, Nikhil Dwivedi and Govinda. Mani sir and his staff have been put up in Mithun Chakraborthy's hotel, while the rest of the people have been put up at another hotel."

The source continues, "The movie has already been delayed by a couple of months due to Ratnam's health. It is getting a little difficult to get Aishwarya's and Abhishek's dates. So the production house has started shooting with other actors and other portions of the movie. Meanwhile, Abhi-Ash are in regular touch with the director on the phone."
