While royalty issues have been the matter of the moment in the music industry for a while now, looks like director Rensil D'Silva had to pay a price over it
With his upcoming film now delayed, our sources say it had to do with musical-duo Salim-Suleiman staging a walk out on the project.

In the past, the two parties have worked together on films like Kurbaan, Chak De! India, Dor, Band Baaja Baaraat to name a few. But with the music directors opting out at the last minute, Rensil had no choice but to delay his film’s release.
An insider says, “The brothers had certain royalty issues, which they discussed with the film’s producer Karan Johar as well as the music label but all of them weren’t on the same page. It ultimately led to Rensil looking for new music directors.”
However Salim says, “We needed to deliver certain songs under certain deadlines and we were already signed up for some other shows and concerts. The dates were clashing so we decided to let go of the film. We will be working with Karan soon.”
