Now that his father Pankaj Kapoor's directorial debut Mausam is gearing up for release, Shahid Kapoor has started reading scripts for his next.
The actor, who has only committed to Kunal Kohli's upcoming movie so far, is believed to have given a nod to the Hindi remake of the Marathi film Mumbai Pune Mumbai.
Marathi to Hindi
Industry sources reveal that Satish Rajwade, who helmed the Marathi movie, is keen to remake it in Hindi. He has even begun working on the script.

"However, this time the storyline is set against the backdrop of Mumbai and Delhi to reach out to a wider audience," informs our source, adding, "Satish is calling his Hindi film Mumbai Delhi Mumbai."

Our source further divulges that the Marathi filmmaker has discussed the idea with Shahid. "Satish narrated the concept to Shahid when they last met, and he liked what he heard.u00a0
So while the young Kapoor has approved of the idea, he'll take the final call only after Satish meets him again with the complete script," elaborates our source. Shahid was unavailable for comment.
