Will shift to her new apartment in Bandra in mid July
Rubina Ali, who shot to fame with Slumdog Millionaire, finally has a new home. She and her family will move into a Rs 35 lakh apartment in Bandra in mid July. The apartment was procured by the Jai Ho trust, formed by the film's director Danny Boyle and producer Christian Colson, as a way to take care of the two slum children who acted in the film. u00a0

While Rubina's co star Azharuddin Ismail (who played the young Salim) and his family moved to a 250 square foot studio in Vile Parle last year, Rubina's father Raufiq refused to move out of Bandra where their shack stood. Finally, the trust managed to afford a house in Bandra. Raufiq has liked the flat and the family will move in next month.
Meanwhile, Danny Boyle is in Mumbai and has finalised the script for Bombay Velvet, on which he is collaborating with Anurag Kashyap. His association with India continues, as he is also going to translate Vikas Swarup's Six Suspects and Suketu Mehta's Maximum City onto the screen.
