Sunil Shetty has been recuperating at home from a serious injury he suffered on the sets of De Dhana Dhan's last day of shooting at Film City.
Says a source from the production, "He was shooting for a difficult action sequence in the water. There were sharp objects around. During an underwater sequence, something spiky pierced Sunil on his chest.
Though he felt jabbing pain at that time, he didn't take it seriously. It was on his way home after the shoot that he felt a stabbing pain in the chest. It was so bad that he couldn't breathe or move for a minute."
Off to the doc's
Sunil rushed to a doctor from the shoot. It was an internal injury of the muscles and tissue. He has an ugly bruise, though there was no external bleeding.
The doctor prescribed painkillers, bed rest for three weeks and hot and cold compresses (applied through heat and ice) to help healing by generating the blood flow, reducing inflammation and reducing pain."
No exercise
Anna hasn't left his home in weeks, as he wasn't able to move at all. He also had ot give up on his regular workouts and yoga. Any kind of exercise was ruled out by his doctor, which was hellish for the fitness freak.

The actor is now close to recovering completely and will be making his first public appearance tomorrow at the press conference of Ford Endeavour in Mumbai. Sunil is the brand ambassador of Endeavour.
Sunil is feeling upbeat, "It's true that I suffered a chest injury while shooting but these things happen and I am on the way to recovery.
In fact, we are shooting another heavy-duty action sequence again for De Dhana Dhan after January 24 and I should be able to participate in that if I am fully recovered."
Taking toll
Many actors fell sick during the shooting of De Dhana Dhan produced by Ratan Jain, due to the unclean water they were shooting in, for the underwater action sequences. These included Katrina Kaif, Sameera Reddy and Sunil Shetty.
