The Bachchans seem to have begun the New Year by extending an olive branch to former friends-turned-enemies

The Bachchans on a patching-up spree

It seems that the Bachchans have started the New Year on a patch-up note. Looks like their motto is to forgive and be forgiven. It came as a surprise when the Bachchans were seen extending an olive branch at industry bigwigs at different social gatherings recently.

Abhishek Bachchan and Ashwariya Rai Bachchan

At Rohit Shetty’s sister’s wedding last November, onlookers were stumped at the sight of Abhishek Bachchan having a friendly banter with Salman Khan.u00a0At Sunny and Anu Dewan’s year-end bash, AB was spotted once again in Sallu’s company in a quiet corner. Ash was conspicuous by her absence by her hubby’s side.

And at the recent party thrown by Ronnie Screwwala and Karan Johar for the newly-married Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapoor, the Bachchans took the opportunity to leave the Heroine fiasco behind and set things right with the UTV honchos. Madhur Bhandarkar, who had previously accused Ash of “cheating him” about her pregnancy, was also seen exchanging cordial words with the actress.

On the same day as the Ambani bash, Ash, Abhishek and Karan Johar were spotted driving out of Umang — the Mumbai police annual show, together. And with buzz that the filmmaker offered Ash his next at Antilia, we think Ash managed to pull off quite a car-nama along the way!

Looks like 2013 is the year of mending fences for Ash. u00a0
