What's it about: An Irani coffee house serves as the backdrop for a series of intermingling stories that cross paths and disconnect more often than connect. Delshad (Dimple) is the owner of Lucky Coffee house that acts a second home to college kids.
However, those sweet moments don't last long. Amit (Shetty) works for a company that wants to buy the cute little joint. Already suffering from a failed marriage with wife (Vidya) he has his own personal issues to deal with. Subbu (Patekar) is a Tamil clerk forced into retirement, who helps Delshad. There's also a yuppie romance happening (Sukhani and Khan). The climax brings together all these characters and a few more to brew a not so strong cuppa.u00a0

What's hot: Both Dimple and Nana are outstanding and fill every frame with their natural effervescence. Be it the smart Alec Delshad who knows how to handle a cheating fruit vendor or the vulnerable Subbu who relies on his violin rather than human beings to sooth his frayed nerves, they both excel even at the oddest moments. Most of the humour, wit and genuine laughs happen when the two are pitted against each other. Despite some dreadful dialogues and weak setups, they manage to stay with you even after the film ends. Sunil Shetty is honest in his approach to his character.

What's not: Sadanand does a good job of creating a few solitary moments of brillianceu00a0-- like the scene where Nana lets Dimple into his deceased mom's room for the first time, but out of the blue asks her to leave. But on the whole it's messed up. Instead of focusing on one central story, he creates too many characters and subplots to last two seasons of a daily soap! Anjana and Rehan try an Archie and Veronica act, but fail. The courtroom climax could have had more prose and less poetry. Barring the title track, none of the songs are hummable.
What's that? Raghav Sachar claims Beyonce asked him to open her show! Wow, why leave Lady Gaga in the lurch?
What to do: Watch it only for the effortless performances by Dimple and Nana.u00a0
