Though Vivek Oberoi is thrilled about the good opening of Prince since it's release last week, he is happier about the coming together of his Saathiya team again.
According to an insider, "Vivek has signed up for Mani Ratnam's next home production, to be directed by his associate director Siva, who has been with him for the last 12 years.
Taking it easy
Initially, Mani was to direct the film but following poor health during Raavan, he has decided to take it easy. Shaad Ali who directed Saathiya is on board for Vivek's film as executive director. The team is coming together after a long gap. Even though Vivek's last film with Mani was in Yuva, he was in touch with the director." VO believes that he has two strong scripts in Mani's film and his next with Ram Gopal Varma, Rakta Charitra.
Starting out
The untitled film like Ramu's film is inspired by real life. Adds a source, "It's based on the true life story of an Indian Punjabi lord settled in London and Vivek is planning to spend 10 days with the lord to get closer to the character. Vivek will play this guy born in the UK who starts from scratch and goes on to become one of the biggest and most popular businessmen in UK. It's his journey through all kinds of hurdles, including racism,u00a0 going to jail and finally being bestowed the title of Lord in England.
Vivek believes it's the role of his dreams and with Rakta Charitra and the musical play Kingdom Of Dreams, he hopes to strike gold this year.
