When Kabir Khan announced his ambitious project '83 — based on India's victory at the 1983 Cricket World Cup — last year, the director had mentioned that the winning squad, including then captain Kapil Dev, would be training Ranveer Singh and other actors in the sport. Staying true to his word, Dev, we hear, has squeezed out a week in November to coach the leading man. While learning the sports icon's signature outswinger is on the agenda, the interaction will also enable Singh to pick up his muse's mannerisms and body language.

Vishnu Induri, one of the co-producers of '83, reveals, "Ranveer will start prepping from November. Kabir and he are in touch with Kapil, who will fly down to Mumbai for a week in November to help Ranveer prep for the role." The producer adds that they will zero in on the remaining actors who will portray the other players in the coming months, just in time for them to join the prep. "Every actor will be spending quality time with their muse. The members of the '83 team have come on board as consultants."

The sports drama goes on floors in December. "After shooting some scenes in India in December, we'll head to London in March for the second leg. The World Cup matches, including the final, will be shot in that schedule."
