Farhan Akhtar essays the role of Daanish Ali, an ATS officer, in the film, while Amitabh Bachchan plays Pandit Omkarnath Dhar, a paralysed chess grandmaster. The movie, which was earlier titled 'Do', also stars Aditi Rao Hydari in a pivotal role.

Farhan, who will be seen doing action sequences in the film, undertook rigourous training for months to get the lean and muscular look to suit his role. (Read the full story)

'Wazir' is directed by Bejoy Nambiar and also stars John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

Co-produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Aquib Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, 'Wazir' is written by Chopra along with Abhijat Joshi.

The film is slated for release on January 8, 2016.
