What a week: Rahul for PM, maybe?

My favourite part of last week was Rahul Gandhi's hug with Modi. And that wink. Priya Warrior, Rahul beat you there!

I can't open my Instagram without seeing another video on Drake's #inmyfeelings. 'Kiki, do you love me', is now permanently stuck in my head (until the next song that goes viral that is). And I can't say I can complain, because I love the song, but maybe by this time next week, I will be sick and tired of it. My favourite? It's the one with the buffalo walking outside the car, bopping its head. Find it now, just so you can laugh your head off.

But one person who totally deserved going viral last few days is Kubbra Sait, who plays the delightful and gorgeous Cuckoo in Sacred Games. Sait is such a sport too, and has been posting all the memes that her character has inspired. We were inspired too, by her courage to play a woman stuck in a man's body with such tenderness and grace. #cuckookajaddo will surely stay with us for a long time.

I have to end by saying though that my favourite part of last week was Rahul Gandhi's hug with Modi, and I can't help but say #rahulforPM (all opinions in this column are purely personal). What he said, and which I think spoke of his maturity, and of course, worked as strategy was that he thanks Modi for helping him not be afraid of his detractors. I am going to take a cue from Rahul, and smile in the face of my enemies! You may have problems with the Congress and Rahul hismelf (after all, as many argue, he is still to prove himself), but the hug and the speech deserves some respect. Twitter and Instagram were both buzzing about how some people finally like Rahul baba. (let me share a secret: I have always loved him). And that wink. Priya Warrior, Rahul beat you there!

The Congress chief, however, embraced him, as he remained seated, Modi initially looked nonplussed and did not stand up to hug him, but recovered quickly and patted him on the back and Rahul went back to his seat and winked.
