Harshvardhan, who had been working on Anurag Kashyap's next film in Sri Lanka, returns to Mumbai mid-way
Bombay Velvet could be one of Anurag Kashyap’s most anticipated films but looks like Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan’s dream of assisting the director on the sets had to abruptly come to an end. Sources say the Kapoor scion has fallen ill and won’t be returning to Sri Lanka to join the rest of the crew.

According to those close to him, Harsh could not adjust to the Sri Lankan cuisine and developed stomach complications along the way. Says a unit hand, “He was very unwell and there was no option but to return to Mumbai. He was very keen to do the film before making his acting debut in Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirza Sahiba.”
Another source from the sets says, “Harsh was not enjoying his stay in Sri Lanka and didn’t want to be part of behind-the-scene work. He has come back as he wants to prepare for his acting debut now.”u00a0Says Kashyap, “He fell ill and that’s why he went back. He developed a bad throat infection and constant fever. Even the food here did not agree with him.”u00a0
