On Wednesday, Yash Raj Films announced that the Akshay Kumar-starrer Prithviraj will be a Diwali release. It will hit screens on November 5. Last month, the makers of Jersey, featuring Shahid Kapoor, had fixed the same festive date. Akki and Sasha battling at the box-office look interesting. Speaking about Prithviraj, a source revealed, "Akshay and Manushi Chhillar had completed their portions last year, but Dutt’s dates had to be reworked as he had taken a short break for his medical treatment. Last week, he reported for the final schedule of the historical drama at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, and completed the project over the next five days."
Manushi Chillar, who plays the character of Sayogita, shared in a media interaction, "It is a huge honour for me and I'm giving my everything and working really hard to try and get a lot of love and appreciation from audiences when my film releases. Sanyogita is a dream role for me and I'm doing my best to do justice to the responsibility that has been entrusted to me."
On the other hand, Jersey' starring Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur, is directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri and has music by Sachet and Parmpara. It is a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Telugu Film 'Jersey.' The sports-drama is presented by Allu Aravind, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju and S.Naga Vamsi.
