Bharat Hain Hum creators discuss how they, with I&B Ministry’s support, used animation series to teach kids about unsung freedom fighters

An episode focuses on Marthanda Varma
In January 2022, when the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) invited ideas for Azadi Ka Mahotsav to mark 75 years of Indian independence, producer Munjal Shroff and director Tilakraj Shetty pitched the idea of celebrating the country’s unsung heroes, through animation.
Impressed by the idea, the I&B Ministry suggested using the popular animation series, Krish Trish and Baltiboy, to spread the good word. Thus was born Krish, Trish and Baltiboy—Bharat Hain Hum that premièred across Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and 28 channels of Doordarshan on October 15.
