Her YouTube videos may tell you that she was born for the camera. But at heart, Prajakta Koli says she is a writer first. Which is why her turning author doesn’t come as a surprise. The content creator-turned-actor is currently giving finishing touches to her maiden novel, Too Good to be True, one that she says she stumbled upon.

“During the lockdown, I finally got some time to sit down and write again. When I was writing, I kept a few [ideas] aside, thinking that [they] would make for a good show. [These would be developed by me] along with the writers’ room,” she recalls. But one of the ideas—a story of contemporary romance— spoke to Koli so strongly that she decided to develop it into a series on her own.
