Reunion for Anupam Kher and Aahana Kumra

Two years after The Accidental Prime Minister, Anupam Kher and Aahana Kumra kick off shoot of Happy Birthday.

Though The Accidental Prime Minister (2019) was a forgettable film, Anupam Kher and Aahana Kumra had won praise for their fine performances. Two years since, the actors have reunited on the thriller, Happy Birthday. The project, helmed by Prasad Kadam, went on floors in the city yesterday. Kumra says she is looking forward to tackling a new genre with Kher after the political drama. “I was blown away when I read the script. I am glad to get the opportunity to work with Mr Kher again; we shared great chemistry in our last outing,” she says.  

For Kher, the primary reason to give his nod to the project was the opportunity to work with a fresh voice. “I love working with new directors,” he says. The director adds that the thriller, which deals with “the concepts of life and death”, will be shot over a start-to-finish schedule in Mumbai.
