Los Angeles: Tracee Ellis Ross, who won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy - at the 74th Golden Globe Awards, dedicated her win to the "women of colour".
"This is for all of the women of colour and colourful people whose stories, ideas, thoughts are not always considered worthy. I want you to know that I see you. We see you," Ross said in her acceptance speech on Sunday night here.
She won the award for her role as Rainbow Johnson, a doctor , in the popular sitcom 'Back-ish'.
"It's an honour to be on this show, 'Black-ish', to continue expanding the way we are seen and known and to show the magic and beauty and the sameness of a story and stories that are outside of where the industry usually looks," she added.
She also acknowledged the dwindling parts for women in Hollywood above a certain age, thanking "all the amazing people who brought me here in my career, because it's nice at 44!" she exclaimed.
"I like it here! This is great," Ross concluded.
Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the Golden Globes 2017 are taking place at The Beverly Hiltons in Beverly Hills, California.
