'Stranger Things' is back and its lead, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, tells us it's going to be even more gripping than Season 1
Let's talk about season one. When did you realise the show was a hit and how has life changed for you
Brown: Yeah, life changed, I think, when I met President Obama. I got to know that he watches the show -- it was the best thing ever. And after that, I realised everything goes downhill. It was the most incredible experience ever. And then my social media followers started to go up so fast, I didn't understand. I thought, how are all these people finding me interesting? How do they relate to my character. And that was really the moment where I thought, "Wow, this show has taken off..."

Well, really people responded to Eleven...
Brown: You don't really see a lot of women or girls saving people in this crazy eighties world. Thirteen-year-old girls are watching the show probably thinking, "Wow, it's okay to be a freak like Eleven is, and it's okay to be different." And I think that's why they related to her.
Remind us how season one ended.
Brown: She was trying to save Mike and kill the Demogorgon and I don't know if she killed the Demogorgon but I definitely know that she's coming back for season two. And they're really going into my back story, which is really fun, because I didn't know what was going on with Eleven in the first season. She's now vanished into thin air.
What was it like getting back with the original cast?
Brown: The first day I came back, there was a read-through, and we were all together. It was the craziest thing to think that our show is popular and people know who we are now.
What are some of the supernatural elements that we're going to see in the second season?
Brown: There are so many. There's more about the Upside Down this season. It's also darker. It's crazy.
Do you have any stories with the show?
Brown: I went to Manila, which was fun, and they were so cool and crazy about the show. And I had no idea; it was like, oh my goodness, they said, "Millie, did you know you have 42 lines in this specific episode?" I was like, "No." And they were like, "Well, you did. And did you know that you ate eight Eggos in eight episodes?" It's incredible.
Talk about the new girl, Max.
Brown: Max makes the boys more mature. She's cool and hip, and I think the other kids are like, "Oh, we want to be more like Max."
Tell us about your hair.
Brown: Last season I had a shaved head, obviously. And this season, I have, like, huge hair, which is really fun and it's a massive
difference (sic).
What's been like working with the Duffer brothers this season?
Brown: No, it's no different. We're all the same. The Duffer brothers are like my big brothers. They are the best, and Shawn Levy is like my dad. I love him. He is amazing and great to work with. He connects with the actors. Like, if I needed to cry, he'll put on sad music, which is helpful.
