Los Angeles: Jamie Foxx is reportedly joining Taron Egerton and Eve Hewson in "Robin Hood: Origins".

The 48-year-old actor will play Little John, Robin Hood's (Egerton) second-in-command, reported Deadline.
According to the website battle-hardened but war-weary veteran of The Crusades, who starts out distrustful of Robin Hood and then warms to the young hero in the gritty
revisionist take on the legend.
The script for "Robin Hood: Origins" is written by Joby Harol.
The film revolves around the heroic outlaw who returns from fighting in The Crusades and finds that Sherwood Forest is rife with corruption and evil. He forms a band of outlaws and they take matters into their own hands.
The official release date has yet to be announced, but the movie is expected to arrive in 2017.
