Jason Bateman to make directorial debut

'Horrible Bosses' star Jason Bateman is hoping to step behind the camera to direct a new comedy movie

The 43-year-old actor is in talks to helm "Bad Words", a film about a man who exploits a loophole to enter a national kids spelling competition.

Bateman, who is also lined up to play the lead role, has gained experience as a director while working on TV show 'Valerie's Family' and taking charge of several episodes of 'Arrested Development and Family Matters'.u00a0
