Pop stars Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have become victims of YouTube's strict copyright law
Pop stars Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have become victims of YouTube's strict copyright law.
A mystery YouTube account by the name of iLCreation has claimed copyright ownership of 17-year-old Bieber's material which has therefore resulted in his entire video collection being removed from the video-sharing site until the matter is fixed.
YouTube operates under a strict policy that if any material is accused of breaking copyright laws then the site will immediately remove content until the dispute is resolved.
"Someone is making false copyright claims against the Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga channels and YouTube has blocked access to the videos as a result. We are working with the site to resolve asap," a representative for the online music channel which carries Beiber's music said.
