The British beauty said she was in an ugly place last summer after learning of her director husband's extramarital affair with the lead star of his film 'Snow White and the Huntsman', reported New York Daily News.

"I was not in a good way at that point in my life and felt incredibly vulnerable," Ross was quoted as telling The Edit, a new magazine from luxury fashion retailer Net-A-Porter. Ross, 34, said it was her catwalk comeback during New York fashion week in September that finally restored her confidence.

The runway appearance in Alexander Wang's show marked her first time strutting in New York and garnered rave reviews. Ross had mostly retired from modelling prior to walking for Wang. "Alex (Wang) called and asked me to do it.

It was a defining moment and I felt honoured to be supported by him during that difficult time. Doing the show was daunting, but it was wonderful to get up there, show my strength and shine for someone who believes in me. I was very grateful," she said. Ross filed for divorce in January, six months after photos of Sanders, 42, getting intimate with Stewart surfaced.u00a0
