Will Joaquin Phoenix play Lex Luthor in 'Batman vs Superman'?

Joaquin Phoenix has been tipped to play 'Lex Luthor' in the upcoming 'Batman vs Superman', it has been revealed.

It was earlier hinted that the ‘Walk The Line’ star was in line to play a ‘major villain’ in the blockbuster sequel, however, it is still unclear if Warner Bros approached Phoenix for the said role, Metro.co.uk reported.

Batman v Superman, which is set to hit the box office in July 2015, will feature Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Israeli actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.u00a0
