Stars and technicians get a 15-day break as the Kannada film industry gears up for platinum jubilee celebrations

I hope we go beyond parties and celebrations. This is a good time to analyse ourselves as an entertainment industry. I hope to see the release of the book, Kannada Chalanachitra Charitre (History of Kannada films), edited byu00a0 V N Subbarao. We also need to set up a laboratory a meeting ground where we get to discuss and dissect our films objectively.u00a0u00a0

Look who's talking like a babu!
Ravi Chandran, who is on KFCC's entertainment committee for the celebrations, had us baffled by his response. "There will be a press conference in a few days. I will say what I have to say about the event then," he said stiffly.u00a0

This is a festival of Karnataka. I have postponed the production work of my film Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu because of the 15-day break announced by the KFCC. We should use this opportunity to honour senior artistes.
