You don't share a single scene with Ravichandran in Rajakumari. Was that intentional?
Ravichandran is the backbone of the film. The script demanded that we don't meet on screen. I saw no reason to argue with the director, S Govindu.

What is your most special memory of the film shoot?
Most of the song sequences were shot atop steep peaks. We had a tough time climbing the rugged mountains. I remember spending close to two hours to clamber up a certain peak.u00a0u00a0u00a0

Your first film Aham Premasmi gave you the image of lover boy. Then, you did Thunta where you were an action hero. Are you experimenting with your image again in Rajakumari?
No. I guess I am happy with the image of romantic hero who is also good in action scenes. Rajakumari is a love story, so I guess that will cement my image as lover boy!

Don't you think you made your acting debut rather late?u00a0
Yes, I was working as producer and distributor. Our family banner, Ishwari Combines, kept me busy. In fact, few know that Ekangi was scripted for me but my brother acted in it because he was riding the popularity charts at that time. I felt I had to mature as an actor. That explains my late debut.

Who do you turn to for professional advice?
My brother. He has always been a guiding force and I respect his opinions.u00a0

Vishnuvardhan, Shivrajkumar, Malashri and Shruthi. There are the unique talents of Sandalwood.u00a0

Any plans to turn director?
Let me grow as an actor first before exploring other challenging areas of the craft.
