Exactly a week since it dropped online, Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Sacred Games has fallen prey to piracy. Reports suggest that the series, which is India's first original on Netflix, has been leaked on the piracy site Tamilrockers. It may be recalled that Rajnikanth's Kaala, which hit screens last month, too was leaked on the same site.

Released on July 6, the Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane-directed series is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra's famed novel by the same name. The neo-noir thriller has received appreciation from the critics and audience alike for its taut script and powerful performances by the ensemble cast.
The series also ran into legal trouble earlier this week. A plea was filed in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday seeking removal of certain scenes that were allegedly derogatory to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. Though the matter was scheduled for hearing yesterday, a bench of justices Sanjeev Khanna and Chander Shekhar listed the hearing for July 16.
