"I always wanted to do a vegetarian show and finally when we are doing it, I am quite happy and I strongly feel it is going to be the best of all MasterChef seasons.
"This is the first time any food show is coming up with this concept. There are people who couldn't be a part of our show earlier because they are vegetarian. This season is for all those people who love to cook and everyone should get a fair chance," he said.
Asked whether the show will get restricted as it will only concentrate on vegetarian food, Khanna, 43, said, "We are going to play around with at least 2000 vegetables and I can assure the viewers that they will be surprised to know how we can cook a single vegetarian dish in so many different ways."
The audition is over and 12 contestants have been chosen across the country. The new season will launch in January next year with chefs Sanjeev and Kunal Kapoor.
Khanna will also launch his new book, which talks about the lives of contestants of earlier seasons of 'MasterChef India' and it's importance in changing the life of the contestants, on the show.
