Priya Ahuja Rajda: I have performed at the Republic Day parade at India Gate

Priya Ahuja Rajda aka Rita reporter from Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah shares her thoughts on Republic Day

As India celebrates its 73rd Republic Day today, Priya Ahuja Rajda joins mid-day.com for a special conversation.

What are your thoughts and memories of Republic Day? 

I remember as a kid we used to attend school for flag hoisting and I used to get very excited because on that day our school use to give us treat boxes. I was in a Central government school so I have grown up with lots of army kids and being with them you get a different feeling on such important days. I have fond memories of performing with other schoolmates at the Republic Day parade at India Gate.

Importance of the constitution…
To set some limits for citizens and the government about their fundamental rights. This gives rise to the idea of a representative democracy.
