Also, not many families spare a thought for the marine life before immersing their beloved god in the sea.

This season, we suggest you celebrate the festival by signing up for this workshop where you can learn how to sculpt the idol, the eco-friendly way.

An initiative by Arkin Training Institute and The Yoga Loft, the seven-day workshop, teaches you to sculpt different forms of Ganesha using shadu (clay), paper mache and other non-toxic materials under the supervision of trained sculpting artists.

Till: August 29
At: The Yoga Loft, 202, Oberoi Chambers, off New Link Road, Andheri (W).
Call:  9821477550
Cost: Rs 7,500
