Mattias IA Eklundh, who conceptualised Freak Guitar Camp
Freak Guitar Camp is a concept conceived by Viking guitar legend — Mattias IA Eklundh, who is the founding member of the Swedish Progressive Metal band Freak Kitchen and has collaborated with legendary musicians across the world including Indian musicians such as Ranjit Barot, Selvaganesh Vinayakram, Niladri Kumar, Violin Radhakrishna and many more.
After years of learning, patience and sharing his knowledge, Mattias will now take the Freak Guitar Camp outside Sweden for the first time, since it came into existence, 15 years ago.
The camp in India, which is being organised by bajaao.com, will be a six-day affair with only 40 students taken on board to maintain focus. It will be held at the Jalsrushti Island Resort, which is located in Mulshi (a few kms away from Lonavala and Pune).
The camp is intended for intermediate and professional guitarists. During the camp, Eklundh will teach participants tons of polyrhythm techniques, song writing process tips and will talk about how to use synthetic modes and unorthodox scales. He will also cover music business talks and other important discussions meant for the benefit of musicians.
