One of the biggest quizzing events in the country, it hopes to spread awareness about India’s heritage using the format of a quiz competition Nearly 130 students were present from 15 schools of Mumbai for the preliminary round, out of which one team of St. John’s Universal School made it to the zonal round.
The other finalists for this round were SR Chandak English High School from Solapur, Dr YS Khedkar International School from Aurangabad, Dravid High School of Wai and SPM English School from Pune. The questions asked by quizmaster, Kunal Savarkar could make the best of quizzers get nervous; like, what are the odds someone will know the symbol of the Archaeological Survey of India? But the students, only from class 7 to 10, put up an incredible fight.
Finally, Punekars Sumedh Joshi and Akash Kulkarni (from SPM English) came up trumps from the zone, and qualified for the national round to be held in Delhi. However, the participants were not the only smart ones in the room.
The audience — parents, teachers, and students were equally enthusiastic in making the morning even more memorable.
