What do you feel about India's gradual acceptance of electronic music?
I think we are still evolving as a country for electronic music. Back then [in the '90s], the scene was different; in fact, there was no Bollywood music in clubs. There were no festivals; the drinking culture was very limited to certain venues in the country.

Things took a major turn after the Internet arrived. People suddenly had access to international acts and festivals, and could see what was going on around the world. Getting access to music became easier and people started educating themselves. It's now growing at a crazy rate, but we still have a long way to go in comparison to the US and Europe markets, which are ticket sale-driven.

You recently launched your new single at a live gig at Times Square, New York.
It was amazing. Who gets to play at Times Square that often and to open with your new track?

What are your favourite destinations to play?
I like playing all around the world. Mumbai, and now LA, are my favourite places.

How much has Mumbai influenced your sound?
It is by far is the best place in India for electronic music. I have played everywhere in India, but people from Mumbai are way more open to new music and genres than any other place. It has shaped who
I am today as an artist.

You make music as a solo artist and as part of B.R.E.E.D. How do you keep the identities different?
B.R.E.E.D is about songwriting-based dance music. We follow no genres, although we are now focused on more festival-friendly banging stuff. As Nasha, I make more international mainstream dance music laced with Indian sounds.

What can we expect from your set tonight?
It will be a mixed bag of moombah, trap, commercial and fun stuff. I will be playing some of my new material like Mighty Horns and Go DJ Go.

On Tonight, 9 pm At Raasta Bombay, Rohan Plaza, SV Road, Khar West. RSVP goo.gl/6AaPKf Call 9619273009
