Modest leaders can help groups become more effective at work: Study

All of us feel better when our boss or team leader encourages us and that motivates us to do better. A new research has found that modest leaders of teacher groups or at the workplace helped to boost professionalism and engagement among team members

The study, done in China, found that teachers in the Chinese equivalent of professional learning communities (PLCs) were more willing to share their knowledge and expertise when they rated their PLC leaders as being higher in humility.
