Pan-Asian restaurant Foo opens new outlet in Mumbai in Thane at Viviana Mall. This outlet, marking the eighth Foo in the city.

At Foo Thane, the interiors embody a blend of classic and contemporary design, embracing luxurious simplicity. A striking focal point within the restaurant is the pièce de résistance—a mesmerising red waffle ceiling, artfully crafted to evoke allure and capture attention. The ambience is crafted to evoke an earthy and serene atmosphere.

Shades of tranquil blue and sophisticated grey interlace throughout the expansive 3800 sq.ft  space, creating an aesthetic that harmonises with nature. Abundant greenery thoughtfully placed throughout the restaurant further immerses guests in a natural setting. Every section of the restaurant boasts a statement piece, seamlessly integrating through the structure, furniture, lighting, art, and décor. This cohesive design strives to convey to guests the essence of a desirable lifestyle.

The menu comprises classic dishes that remain crowd favourites. Some of the signatures include Togarashi Black Rice Maki, Peruvian Lobster Roll, Sriracha Chicken Dumpling, Tenderloin Chilly with Leeks & Onions, Foo Blue Butter Japanese Fried Rice, and La Yu Ban Mein Noodles. Addressing demand for vegan options, the restaurant will offer dishes like Not a Chicken in Chilli Hot Bean, Forest Mushroom Cantonese Style, Crispy Tofu with Sweet Chilli sauce, and Plant Protein Dumplings. Desserts feature options like Mount Foo-Ji or gluten-free ice creams in flavors like Mango, Black Sesame, Japanese Matcha, and Kaffir Lime. Vegan and gluten-free treats include Black Gold And Berry—a Truffle Dark Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Sorbet.

The beverage menu houses a range of unique G&Ts. They are all different in their undertones and manage to highlight the taste of gin in their own manner. The Foo King & Foo Queen are the perfect pair to any meal and is definitely a must try. The Kokum Club is a refreshing blend of gin, Coconut Liqueur, Kokum, and lemon juice. Being an Asian tapas restaurant, sake is a staple to go with the meals. There are several sakes to choose from on the menu. Indulging in the complete Foo experience demands a taste of their signature creation, the Foo Brew—an in-house rice beer, freshly brewed and loved by the regulars at the restaurant.

“As we continue our vision of making Foo accessible to all our guests, this new outlet in Viviana Mall, Thane marks an exhilarating milestone," expressed Keenan Tham and Ryan Tham, Founders of Pebble Street Hospitality. "Thane is a bustling city, one that is consistently growing every day. Over the years, we’ve had patrons come in from Thane and now, we are delighted to reciprocate that loyalty by introducing Foo right to their doorstep. This is exciting for us, extending the Foo experience to this dynamic part of the city."
