Dear Diana,
I was in a relationship with this woman about 24 years ago. We just drifted apart and went our ways. We didn't even keep in touch. Only once about 10 years ago, I had bumped into her on the road. It was just a hi and bye. This woman is now back in my life. I bumped into her again, but this time we spoke. I realised that she was in a bad marriage while I am on the verge of a divorce. We began from where we had left off. It was like yesterday once again after all these years. We can talk for years and years. Perhaps it was in our destiny that we would meet again. As they say true love never dies. Ever since we have been talking to each other daily and meet whenever we can. We are in our 40s now. We know that we are in love with each other. She has told her husband that she wants to end their marriage. I have asked her to move in with me, but she is reluctant. We have no children, but she feels till the divorce comes through we should not take any decision in haste. I feel if I wait I will lose her once again.

Dear Harish,
Perhaps you were destined to be together even though it took all these decades. Now that finally you are uniting with her, it is better to be safe, than sorry. She is right in saying that till the divorce comes through it is better to lie low. Otherwise at the moment it will be termed as an extramarital affair. If you are in a rush, you might lose her forever, so this time get it all right. You seem to be too much in a hurry and that is understandable as it all has to yet sink in. She has yet to file for divorce while yours has yet to come through. For the moment, just enjoy the conversations with her — you waited for decades, so what's a few months or even a year?
