I'm finding it really difficult to get over my ex and move on in life. I can't get him out of my head
Dear Diana
Dear Diana,
I'm finding it really difficult to get over my ex and move on in life. I can't get him out of my head. It has been two months, but I am still in a state of mourning. I am still heartbroken. I am wrapped up in all different emotions for him and I just don't know how to move on. May be it is due to the fact that he just walked out on me. I was not prepared for it at all. It was too sudden and drastic. I keep remembering the time I spent with him. Whatever he told me and did is all coming back. Sometimes I feel angry that he dumped me. But then I am again engulfed with sadness. How do I get him out of my system?

Dear Ruchi,
Persistent thoughts about your ex are lingering on in your mind because you are not keen to move on. You have to do a reality check. Remember the relationship is over forever. He has dumped you, so instead of feeling sorry for yourself, you should have feelings of anger for him as well. He has ceased all communication with you, but you still have a special place for him. You are reluctant to let go of him, as you want to hold on to him as you feel he might just come back. Time heals all wounds, but at the same time you have to pick up the pieces of your life to move on. As long as your ex is on our mind, you will not be over him. You are still desiring for a reconciliation and want to be with someone who no longer wants you. So the faster you get it in your head, the easier it will be for you to get on with your life. Immerse yourself in work, keep yourself busy to keep thoughts about him at bay.
