Dear Diana,My sister is in a relationship with an office colleague.

The man is married and has a child. Her office folks are aware of their affair. She says that he is serious about her. They have been seeing each other for five years, but when the talk of commitment comes up, he comes up with excuses every time. My parents have tried to reason with my sister, but she is adamant. How do I make her realise that this man eventually will not marry her?

As they say, love is blind so she might not realise what is on her man’s mind. If even after being with her for five years, he refuses to commit, it is a clear indicator that he may not be that serious about her. It appears that his family is likely to be unaware of what is going on at office. He is indulging in an extramarital affair, so when his wife realises it, it will be a tough ordeal for your sister. May be you and your parents need to sit down and have a frank chat with her. If she is still unwilling, then it is entirely her call.
