A tale of two friends

Jayanti Anubhav’s debut book To Live Once Again is a story of two friends. A young girl, Yamini, one day accidentally finds herself in her parents’ bedroom where she witnesses the monster that her father is and her life is changed irrevocably. Scared, friendless and alone, she revolts in solitude. It is when her father sends her to a convent boarding school in the serene hills of Nainital that she finds her true friend Lavanya, the second protagonist of the book.

Though Lavanya is a chirpy girl, she has had her share of problems in the form of a broken family. In each other, the two young girls find their faithful confidantes and cultivate a deep friendship. Both girls have secrets of their own — a painful past that refuses to abandon their thoughts. Post their studies, they take different paths — Yamini in her quest to live with dignity and independence and Lavanya, who strives to find an honest relationship. But life takes different turns.
