Art auctions might be associated with big bucks, with new and old paintings fighting to raise the value with every bid. Now, here's a young artist who is trying to mark on the art scene by dedicating his first exhibition for a cause.

Art with a heart

Twenty two-year-old artist Tanuj Bhramar’s first solo show will support the cause of education of tribal children by donating 20 percent of the proceeds to NGO Vikas Bharti.

The Jharkhand-based NGO has been working towards the education of children — a cause dear to the artist — for two decades along with preserving natural resources and protecting social and cultural heritage of the state. As for Bhramar’s artworks, he describes these as an amalgamation of surrealistic and expressionistic paintings.

Till February 6; at Hirji Gallery, Kala Ghoda.
