Bliss Art Gallery is showcasing abstract landscapes created by artist Sachin Kharat using knives and blades
Artist Sachin Kharat hails from Satara and in his quest to create something unique, he has substituted his brush with knives, blades and sponges. He terms his artworks as abstract landscapes. These kind of paintings are practiced mostly by foreign artists with select Indiansu00a0practicing it.

Kharat says that while knives and blades are generally used to paint large paintings he used them to make smaller paintings which are just one or two feet in size. There are 19 paintings on display at this exhibition and they have greyish hues to evoke feelings of nostalgia.
Kharat points out that each of his exhibitions are based on different themes. His previous exhibition featured water colour paintings. His artworks are also known to feature human beings in the form of crowds as he feels that this is a very important thing.
The artist also admits that his artworks are inexpensive and even a middle class person can afford them. Kharat is a self-taught artist and admits to have been inspired by other artists. He observes their ideas and style of painting and paints in his own style.
