Give this weekend a colourful start with the Swig Art Nights, who bring you a series of fine art photographs by young and talented photographer Tapan Pandit.
The theme of the exhibition revolves around Braj Holi, and will see around 10 images on display at the venue.
Tapan a graduate from Shari Academy, a photography school, shuttles between Pune and Mumbai for assignments. Speaking about his solo exhibition and the theme, Tapan, shares, "I clicked the fine art series for my personal work. These images are my own interpretation on how Holi is celebrated in Braj region in Uttar Pradesh. I visited the region during Holi in 2010, and was surprised by the whole event."

He adds, "I went there to document the place and saw a different scenario. It is a different phenomenon altogether. They celebrate the festival for 15 days. They transport to a different era and get in a different mood."
And it definitely shows in each frame he has captured. Each of the 10 images on display are archival prints. Joining Tapan's exhibition, is musician Woody, who will be playing the saxophone at the event. Woody started playing the saxophone professionally in 1985, and is also an electronic producer and house DJ. He is one of the few artists to fuse all talents, and his USP lies in improvisation.
"Jazz music is all about improvisation." So, this Friday night browse and get some colour and creativity into your scheme of things with these wonderfully capture frames and sway to live music at the venue.
