Oktoberfestbier - M rzen
M rzen is the historic forerunner of the Oktoberfestbier and the name comes from 'March' in German. Marzenbier has a malty aroma and is a medium strong version and seasonal to the Oktoberfest, where it is offered as a traditional specialty.
Hefeweizen (Wheat Beer)
Pronounced as 'Vice beer', the summer-time favourite in Bavarian beer-gardens is made from a combination of malted barley and wheat. This brew is traditionally fermented with a special strain top-fermenting yeast, which imparts a hint of cloves and bananas.
