The 24th edition of the Pune Festival will feature a range of events and star-studded celebrations
The latest version of the Pune Festival will begin on a grand note. The event will feature star-studded performances.u00a0The event will feature Hasyotsav Ekpatrincha, a Marathi laughter show titled Hasayadhara, Marathi Kavi Sammelan as well as a Lavani Mahotsav wherein prominent Lavani dancers will perform in the show.u00a0

The inauguration ceremony will be held on September 21 at the Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch, 4.30 pm onwards and will get over on September 29. The fest, jointly organised by MTDC, the department of tourism and the Pune Festival committee, will be conducted at various venues such as Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch, Balgandharva Rangmandir, Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagriha and Art Gallery, Pune Golf Club course, Mahesh Vidyalaya, Kothrud and General Vaidya Stadium, among others.
The festival is considered a prestigious event in the city’s cultural calender, and opened with a Ganesh Vandana presented by eminent Bollywood actor and dancer Hema Malini.u00a0The very popular Vintage Car Rally will also be flagged off from Hotel Le Meridian as a part of this.
A host of Marathi programmes have also been planned as well as Sufi music performances. Organisers said that they were happy that the event has been going on smoothly and admitted that they have been getting a good response and support from Punekaris.
The best part: entry is free for which passes can be collected from the Pune Festival Committee.
