China-made Horta dolls sprout grass from the top of their heads. These eco-friendly creations will teach your kids to nurture their toys and watch them grow
Mothers worried about their kids playing with toxic toys can breathe easy with the Horta dolls that are 100 per cent organic. Exported from China, these have found a place in homes around the world in gardens and nurseries. They come in cute animal shapes and can be given funky hairstyles depending on the level of fabulousness and the stylist your your child harbours within.
Decapitation may seem rather harsh, but this doll is all about tough love. Take out the grass head and place it in a container that holds some water. When the seeds start to germinate from the grass head, add water to the top of the head every two days, and give it enough sunlight to flourish. Five days later you'll spot little green shoots as the crowning glory of your six-inch playmate. The grass can grow up to 5 cm in length.
