Rock music lovers will get a chance to meet one of India's most popular rock band this Sunday. Emergence, the band whose music reflects Krishna McKenzie's journey in India over the last 16 years, will perform at High Spirits

Rock music lovers will get a chance to meet one of India's most popular rock band this Sunday. Emergence, the band whose music reflects Krishna McKenzie's journey in India over the last 16 years, will perform at High Spirits.

Apart from music, the band members also share a common love for organic farming. Based in Auroville, Pondicherry, Emergence line up includes Krishna McKenzie (Guitarist/Vocalist), Karthick Iyer (Violin/Vocalist), Mishko M'Ba (Bassist) and Suresh Bascara (drum). The members prefer to keep a low profile even though they have played across the US and UK including at the famous Glastonbury Festival.

The band has just returned from a tour of the US where they performed at the John F Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts in Washington DC. Music lovers will get to hear Indian acoustic pop numbers with a mixture of British and Indian classical music. The music will range from Rock, Jazz to Funk. Their last album Closer to God, was based on themes like self sustainability and organic farming.
