The first phone of Google, Pixel/Pixel XL, is going to enter the Indian market on October 25. With the introduction of Pixel, Google seems to end its Nexus segment and create a new chapter in its phone history. Let us now take a look at some of Pixel’s special features:
Build and Design: Though Pixel resembles iPhone, yet on looking at it from close quarters, one can find its resemblance with HTC. The phone is available in three colour variants like Quite Black, Very Silver and Really Blue. The phone is sturdy, has a flat metal frame and rounded edges. The phone has a glass top which results in a better grip.
Display: Pixel XL flaunts a 5.5-inch QuadHD display and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The AMOLED display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating and its black levels are quite good.
Chipset, RAM, Storage: Both the phones run of Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 821 chipset. There are two kinds of storage- 32GB and 128GB.
Camera: The phone comes with a 12.3MP rear camera having an f/2.0 aperture. It has a front camera of 8MP loaded with an aperture of f/2.4 and pixel size of 1.4 micron.
Battery and Connectivity: Google Pixel XL is backed by 3450mAh Li-ion non-removable battery. The phone comes with 5V/3A or 9V/2A adapter which has a USB Type C input and it easily supports 4G.
Operating System: Pixel runs Android 7.1 Nougat OS. Live wallpapers, notification shades and circular app icons are interesting additions to the phone.
Price of the impressive Google Pixel starts from Rs 57,000 for the 32GB base model and the price of its higher verison 128GB Pixel XL goes up to Rs 76,000. Though the phone is made by HTC, Google has complete control over its hardware and software. So, we can expect this latest introduction by Google to provide the best Android experience.
