“Starting March 23, 2015, users won't be able to publicly share images and video that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger,” said Google said in a post.
However, the company will not delete existing blogs with adult content but will make the blogs private after March 23.
“We’ll still allow nudity if the content offers a substantial public benefit, for example in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts,” Google said.
Similarly, photo-sharing app Snapchat also released a six-page 'Parent Guide to Snapchat' to restrict the use of adult and nude content among young users.
According to reports, Snapchat will bar the users from the app if are found posting anything violating the policy. It has launched a 'Snapchat Safety Center' for parents and teachers in this regard.
