All roads lead to Pushkar in Rajasthan, where the first ever Blue Lotus Festival brings together a heady mix of Indian Sufi, Gypsy, Tribal and Indigenous music in scenic venues
The Blue Lotus Festival currently on in Pushkar, to coincide with the world-famous Camel Fair, is the first edition that presents a showcase of Indian Sufi, Folk, Traditional, Gypsy, Tribal, Devotional, Spiritual and Indigenous music.

With some of the country’s best artistes and instrumentalists in performance, it brings this ancient town into the spotlight till February 18. It’s still not too late to attend this festival that includes over 40 gigs by 350 artists from all over India.
The events are staged at multiple venues in Pushkar; some of these include the lake, sand dunes, picturesque temples, streets, ghats, pilgrimage and heritage landmarks.
Concerts will be themed on joyful wedding festivities, spiritual ceremonies, tribal rituals. Some of the performers include Murra Lala Fafal from Kutch, Baul Fakirs from Bengal, drummers from Kerala, Raza Khan from Punjab, a unique experimental Christian Sufi singer and Meetha Khan, the last Waai singer from the Rann of Kutch.
It promises to be a heady music confluence that truly reflects and pays tribute to India’s rich heritage and cultural diversity. Apart from the performances, one can enjoy yoga and meditation sessions, film screenings, astronomy sessions and camel safaris.u00a0
